Here is a brief profile of the Zanzibar1 Community of Washington, USA. Composed by 50 plus families
with about 150 children, the adult members of this community met in January 2015 to explore
possibilities for its official recognition and look for a permanent place to house their kids for educational,
civic, and other community affairs. These affairs concern with child and youth development, community
outreach and connectivity, racial equity and sports performance, educational and parental collaboration,
and increased cultural diversity and societal integration. Majority of our community members are from
peoples of the Zanzibari origin living in Seattle Metropolitan Region of the Washington State, USA. Our
newly-formed organization will be headquartered in the City Of Bellevue.
